Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Deputy Centre Manager to be based at Skern Lodge in North Devon.
This is the perfect role for someone who has experience delivering outstanding customer service in a previous role, preferably in the holiday market.
As Deputy Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the centre, making it a fun and enjoyable environment for all. You will be assisting the Centre Manager, and the role will involve consistently delivering exceptional customer service, supporting operations in providing skilled guidance to employees and customers, and focusing on driving our ‘day visit’ area of the business through sales.
Key role responsibilities and accountabilities
- Help with the day-to-day general running of the centre with a focus on proactive and reactive customer service.
- Track and help maintain high NPS scores in accordance with KPI’s.
- Work with the Centre Manager to help drive the BtoC aspect of the business in accordance with the KPIs.
- Build and nurture relationships with local community groups and projects to uphold our excellent reputation and find new innovative revenue opportunities.
- Become a part of the Skern’s Designated Safeguarding Lead team.
- Deputising for the Centre Manager as and where needed.
- Work with the Centre Manager and central teams on marketing strategy and execution.
- Maintain a focus on core business whilst ensuring own areas of responsibility are met.
- Manage aspects of project work that falls within skill set.
- Demonstrate the culture of Skern and Inspiring Learning in all we do, protecting and enhancing the brand and our values in all circumstances.
- Proactively consider career pathways and areas for your personal development.
Typical knowledge, skills and experience
- Experience on delivering outstanding customer service in a similar environment
- Leadership and management skills, and experience of leading a team
- Strong commercial understanding and experience in the BtoC / holiday market
- Experience and knowledge in marketing strategy and execution
- Knowledge of business, sales and revenue growth
- IT literate with an understanding of booking platforms
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and digital)
- A broad thinker, with ability to come up with innovative ideas to enable business growth
- Professional, honest and transparent
