The Group Property Manager will collaborate closely with and support operations and the broader executive team in delivering the business plan and strategic direction of the Company. This role involves leading and directing all property aspects of the existing portfolio and new sites.

Group Property Managers will be responsible for managing large capital projects across the estate, including associated budgets, and implementing effective budget control for the capital plan. Ensuring all properties comply with safety regulations and environmental legislation as a priority, along with implementing health & safety policies and ensuring efficient planned preventive maintenance across all sites.

Our Group Property Manager role will involve travelling of upwards of 60% each week, during peak times, and will need to travel to our Brighton Head office for ad hoc meetings. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support centre teams in implementing the Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme.
  • Provide responsive technical advice and support to centre teams, liaising with and instructing contractors when necessary.
  • Lead the implementation of the Capital Investment Programme for centres and project manage certain larger projects.
  • Monitor the effective implementation of Health & Safety policies, particularly concerning maintenance.
  • Manage the Every CMMS system to ensure compliance across all sites.
  • Complete regular site audits and surveys and inspections.
  • Oversee Facilities Management Contract(s) and corrective breakdown works.
  • Assist in the implementation and auditing of the Winter Works Program.
  • Manage projects and supplier relationships effectively.
  • Work under pressure, balancing multiple tasks simultaneously within challenging timescales.
  • Build consensus and work collaboratively with other departments to deliver results.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Experience in a management position within property/facilities maintenance – in an outdoor educational setting preferred / not essential. 
  • Solid understanding of environmental legislation and sustainable energy practices – Essential 
  • NEBOSH Qualified – Essential 
  • Not essential but beneficial: Asbestos qualification such as P402 and P405.
  • Qualified with HNC, IWFM, or equivalent.
  • Experience in management of CDM2015 projects.
  • Good understanding of CAFM & CMMS systems.
